Class Descriptions:
Private Sessions are one-on-one with a highly qualified Pilates Instructor whose sole attention is to meet your goals and needs. Privates will teach you how to work with integrity to meet your goals and also prepare you for classes. Privates are required for those clients who are injured or in pain. Learn how to move to a pain-free life.
Mat Classes (MC) are available in all levels of difficulty to strengthen the core muscles of the body. Exercises are layered in as the body changes and becomes stronger and more flexible. These exercises will give you great abs, toned hips and buttocks, and long lean muscles. Maximum eight clients.
Reformer Classes (RC) utilize the Universal Reformer, designed by Joseph Pilates to support the back while strengthening the body. The exercises are progressive and allow the muscles to work efficiently with the spring resistance. Feel your body become strong, flexible and toned! Maximum six clients.
Pole Classes (PC) utilize the “Cadillac” system developed by Joseph Pilates as his premier piece at the time. Focus is on opening the chest, shoulders and back while strengthening the core and legs. The spring resistance helps create balance and tone with increased flexibility. Maximum five clients.
Gyrokinesis Classes Gyrokinesis is a system exercise derived from yoga, dance, gymnastic and Tai Chi. The Gyrokinesis methodology works the entire body through seven natural elements of spinal movement: forward, backwards, left side, right side, left twist, right twist, and circular. This methodology systematically and gently works the joints and muscles through rhythmic and undulating exercises.
Chair Classes Increase your strength and core stability on one of Pilates most challenging pieces of equipment. Improve alignment and body awareness through targeted exercises to improve general fitness and athletic performance. Maximum three clients.
Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement Classes - increase range and ease of motion, facilitate easier breathing, decrease muscle tension and pain, and improve coordination and balance. You can learn new ways to move and incorporate these lessons into the activities of your daily life. You will engage in precisely structured movements that gradually evolve into greater range and complexity. As such, you will become aware of your neuromuscular patterns and learn new ways of moving while improving efficiency. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________
