Beth H. Downey  founded Body Precision in 1995, as the premier Pilates Studio on the Main Line. Beth was certified by The Pilates Center of Boulder in 1997, completing one of the most comprehensive training programs in the country and received the specially recognized Gold Certification for Teaching from the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), the only accredited designation in the United States. Beth is also the director of the nationally recognized Body Precision Teacher Certification Program for classical Pilates. Beth has been teaching Pilates for over twelve years and specializes in working with clients who have back, neck and joint pain, as well as chronic ailments.

          Beth graduated with a BS in Marketing from Penn State University and worked in the health care industry for fifteen years before opening Body Precision.  Beth has always had a love of sports and is an avid golf and tennis competitor, bringing a unique background to her Pilates teachings. She also has lectured extensively to promote Pilates to the Delaware Valley and writes Pilates articles for PhillyFit Magazine. Beth also developed a complete video series for all levels of exercises on all equipment for home use. 

Kristina MacPherson (certified, Excel Movement Studios, Washington, D.C. 2003)

Kristina has been a Pilates addict since 2001.  She moved from Alaska in 1998 to study Musical Theatre at Catholic University in Washington D.C. graduating in 2002 with a degree in Music.  Kristina studied Pilates at Excel Movement Studios, graduating from their comprehensive teacher training program in 2003. Kristina moved to the Delaware Valley and joined our staff in 2003. Kris has a particular zest for working with those with chronic pain and fatigue but enjoys teaching all levels and ages. “No other form of movement captivates mind, body, and spirit the way Pilates does.  It is not just an exercise regimen; it’s a way of life.”

Cathy Raymond (certified 2005, Body Precision Pilates Studio, Rosemont, PA; Franklin Method Instructor, April 08)

Cathy started as a Body Precision client in 2000 on a friend's recommendation. Impressed with both Pilates and the teachers at this studio, she changed careers and spent a year completing Body Precision's Teacher Training Program.

Cathy not only teaches Pilates full time at Body Precision, but also participates as a workshop teacher in the renowned Body Precision Mat & Full Certification Programs. She is also currently in a three year training program for the Franklin Method. Which is a comprehensive study of anatomy and the use of imagery to improve function in the body. Cathy is excited to complement her Pilates teachings with her Franklin knowledge.

A graduate of Swarthmore College, Cathy has returned to campus to teach Pilates to faculty, staff, students and their women’s volleyball team.

Lenore Denbin (certified February 2006, Body Precision Pilates Studio, Rosemont, PA)                           

Lenore Denbin’s Pilates’ experience began with Body Precision when the studio first opened in 1995.  An avid fitness enthusiast and runner, Lenore was looking to add another dimension to her exercise program after delivering her first baby.  She became an immediate devotee of the Pilates method and continued practicing throughout her next pregnancy, making Pilates a primary part of her fitness routine. 

Lenore completed Body Precision’s comprehensive program in early 2006.  Additionally, she is PMA-certified, certified to teach Pilates for Golf™ and licensed to teach Ron Fletcher Towelwork™ and Ron Fletcher Spine Corrector™.   

Lenore strives to make each lesson unique to her client’s needs and is especially interested in working with our young athletes.  Lenore grew up on Long Island and graduated from New York University.  In NY, she worked as a special events planner for ESPN and as a business writer.

Lauren Mitchell (certified February 2006, Body Precision Studio, Rosemont, PA)

Lauren has been studying dance since the age of five and then became a dance instructor in 2003.  She studies with world class choreographers (Mia Michaels, Dave Scott, Brian Freedman, Darrin Henson and more) through the famous Pulse Workshops and at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City.  Lauren began studying Pilates in 2004 and completed a comprehensive Pilates Teaching program in 2006, as well as the Ron Fletcher Towel Licensing workshop. With a strong background in the art of performing and teaching dance, coupled with a natural ability to understand and communicate the principles of Pilates    movement, Lauren strives to facilitate her clients’ progress and improve their well being.

Susan Gore (certified May 2006, Body Precision Pilates Studio, Rosemont, PA)                             

Susan came to the Pilates method through a background of sports, gymnastics and dance. She began dance study in earnest for the past 15 years and it was through dance that she came into contact with people who recommended Pilates to her.  "They said that I would love Pilates, and that is true!  Pilates puts everything in perspective for me. It has helped me in sports, dance and fitness."

Krystyna Wiercioch (certified, May 2007, Body Precision Inc., Rosemont, PA)                                  

Krystyna Wiercioch earned a double BA in Mathematics and Dance at San Francisco State Univ., and a Master''s in Dance Education at Temple Univ. She earned her Pilates teaching certifications at Body Precision, is a certified Level I & II teacher in Franklin Method, a teacher in GYROKINESIS®, and a psoas enthusiast. Krystyna's training has cultivated an analytic eye, insight into kinesiology and a love of teaching.  She enjoys guiding clients to gain a greater understanding of their bodies as they engage in dynamic movement, catering to the individual.

Kathy Sherman  (certified June 2007, Body Precision Studio, Rosemont, PA)

Kathy Sherman graduated from Body Precision's program in May 2007.  Additionally, Kathy has completed well over 100 hours of Continuing Education including a 2-day Workshop with Pilates Elder, Kathy Grant,  a 3-day intensive with Ron Fletcher, numerous workshops with Amy Alpers of the  Pilates Center in Boulder and frequent workshops and private lessons with many leading Pilates Professionals of today.  Kathy graduated from the Penn State College of Health and Physical Education.  After a lengthy detour through Corporate America, Kathy returned home to her roots in 2005 to teach pilates.  She is an enthusiastic Pilates Instructor who brings an athletic approach to each lesson. 

 Apprentice Teachers - the following teachers are near completion of their 725 required hours for full certification. They are currently available as instructors at a reduced apprenticeship rate.

There are no Apprentice Teachers at this time!


 

Studio Manager:   

           

 Teresa DiCampli, is a graduate of Cabrini College located in Radnor, PA. Her past experiences before coming to Body Precision in 2002 include being an owner of  a successful construction company and a web-site manager for Intermark On-Line. Teresa oversees the daily operations of the studio, including the pilates teacher training certitifcation programs.
